Andy B meets Paul Blakey MBE from ROC Angels

Paul chats with Andy B about Festival Angels and how much busier his year got in 2024! With teams ranging between 30 and 220 people – and more than 60 festivals asking for Paul’s teams to attend - it is a huge logistical exercise, and all of it designed with the purpose of helping keep people safe while they are attending and enjoying music festivals. The Festival Angels family has seen huge growth: they’ve helped people with everything from lost property, supplying plasters, providing suntan lotion, tea and coffee and helping people with broken bones. And, so much more!

Meanwhile Street Angels, which Paul also heads up, continues to grow serving the night time economy and providing support for people, especially if their night out for fun becomes problematic in any number of ways. With three new teams coming online shortly to add the already international organisation, he is kept busy.

So, what drives Paul? A love of Jesus Christ and serving people; helping local churches connect with people in their local area who have a desire to attend a festival.
